Last Build Day

After the first day or two it was hard to believe how much more we had left to do. As it goes with these things it's now hard to believe that tomorrow will be the last day.

Today was a good day. Two of the teams actually worked 20 feet apart. One house was built for the father of the family and the other was built for the daughter. The son in law had a house built by Caravan recently and worked alongside the one team all day. The builds went well and both teams felt like it was just a really good day connecting with the families. The comment was made that "today it was hard to say goodbye."

The other team built an extension on an existing Caravan house. What was cool about this is that the team was able to see what a furnished Caravan home looks like. Just think of all the normal rooms in a house with their typical items in a 12x12 shed. But more importantly this is their home. Pictures on the walls, swept floors, and a family.

This morning we were challenged strongly on what it takes to be a disciple of Jesus Christ from Matthew 14. Please pray that our youth would understand what it means to take up their cross and follow Jesus.
