Women's Class: Misplaced Cravings
The Battle of the Bulge. Overeating. Excessive Dieting. Eating Disorders. Do you make a decision to tackle your attitude towards food only to fail time and time again? Think the Bible has little to say about food? What does this topic have to do with your spiritual growth? Join three women who've struggled through these questions as we explore finding our satisfaction in God, not food.
Welcome to Hillsdale
Are you confused at all about church? Or perhaps you just have some questions about Hillsdale, life here, and the options that are open to you. If you have started attending Hillsdale recently (in the last year or so) and are looking to get connected, then this class is a great place to start, as we will address a wide variety of frequently asked questions. Our hope is that you can become an integral part of the passion God has laid on our hearts.
Manuscript Study of the Gospel of Luke – Part 3
We are continuing our study of Luke using the “manuscript study method” which is an exciting way to discover God's Truth. We will be working individually, in small groups and as a large group. Luke presents Jesus in a very unique way (you will have to take the class to find out what that means). It is important to know the gospel so that it shines through our lives - come and discover Jesus anew. (New students are welcome.)
Pillar of Fire: Moses Leading God's People - Part 1
This session will examine how God prepared both Moses and the nation of Israel for the amazing adventure we call the Exodus. The emphasis will be on how the triumphs and failures of the characters in Scripture can make us more effective leaders and followers in God’s church today.
Menstown: Wise Men - Living Lives Worth Noticing This fast-paced module will build upon the concepts and themes addressed throughout our Menstown ministry. And John Crotts’ book “Craftsmen” ($12 per copy) will be a springboard to bigger discussions as we seek to be God’s kind of men in this broken and hurting world.
11:30 Class
Preparing for Baptism While this class will cover many areas of commitment to the Lord, its main purpose is to prepare men and women for baptism. If you are wondering about baptism, or if you are thinking of being baptized, you can come to these information classes, leading up to our next baptismal Sunday.
